This image is part of a long-term photographic series that Florent Tanet has been developing over several years, in which he stages a multitude of fruits and vegetables as pictorial forms.

Using a same setup : fixed framing, neutral light, and colored backgrounds, he explores the variations of shape and texture through these familiar objects.

Extracted from everyday life, they become silent presences, both concrete and unreal.

Their apparent clarity shifts toward illusion: the photograph becomes a trompe-l’œil, playing with the perfection of form to blur the boundary between reality and representation.

Each image contributes to a poetic inventory of the world, between truth and its reinvention.

To accurately reproduce this image, fluorescent and ultramarine pigments were used in the composition of the inks required for printing, resulting in a powerful and unusual color palette.
