“Tuesday, October 31, 2017 — after driving 1,500 km across Europe, we finally arrived in Belgrade.

Fascinated since my teenage years by the Balkans — a region that, in my imagination, embodies one of the last jewels of freedom in Europe, and that fuels my cultural nostalgia for the 1990s — I envisioned the possibility of carrying out an artistic project far from my city and familiar landmarks.

An assemblage of images drawn and collected in situ over the course of a month, then reorganized into a printed object, DÉAMBULATIONS reflects my Serbian wanderings.”
